Art Ruditsky
The founder and owner of P.T.S.C., Art Ruditsky was a Lieutenant with the Los Angeles Police Department who retired after 30 years of service. Art's previous assignments include Mobile Field Force Leader, Officer In Charge (O.I.C.) of the Rampart Specialized Enforcement Group, O.I.C. of Hollywood Vice, O.I.C. of Narcotics Group's Asset Forfeiture Unit, and many other assignments throughout a wide range of L.A.P.D.'s diverse units and divisions, such as Hollywood, Rampart and Newton. In addition to a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice/Public Administration from the California State University Los Angeles, Art served as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. Through out his career with the L.A.P.D. and the U.S.M.C., Art has been involved with the training of law enforcement officers and has drawn on his vast experience to develop P.T.S.C.'s distinctive curriculum. Art has taught literally thousands of law enforcement officers throughout the western United States, including the Los Angeles Police Academy, Federal, State, and County municipal agencies and innumerable police departments. Art's areas of expertise include leadership training, officer survival, crowd control, community policing programs, handling personnel issues and officer discipline, tactical operations and multi-agency coordination.
Danny Bunch
A Sergeant with the Los Angeles Police Department, Danny is currently assigned to L.A.P.D.'s Van Nuys Division's Gang Unit. Danny's experience includes patrol assignments in L.A.P.D.'s Rampart, West Los Angeles and Hollywood division, undercover narcotics "buy" programs, Major Crime Task Forces, the Underwater Dive Unit, and L.A.P.D.'s tactical response division (Metropolitan Division). Danny's career also includes significant experience as a trainer. He authored Canine Search and Perimeter Tactics, a P.O.S.T. certified course. Additionally, Danny is an instructor for the Los Angeles County Police Canine Association, instructed a five-day underwater dive unit school, developed and implemented L.A.P.D.'s Canine Unit "article search program" and has taught at numerous divisional training days and departmental schools. Danny's particular areas of expertise include canine obedience and canine search team tactics, mobile field force operations, surveillance tactics and underwater crime scene investigation and search and recovery operations.
Dino Duran
A Sergeant in the Los Angeles Police Department's Rampart Division, Dino is an expert in officer self-defense and survival. His previous experience with the Los Angeles Police Department includes the Self-Defense Training Cadre for L.A.P.D.'s Metropolitan Division and various patrol assignments. Dino is a P.O.S.T. Master Instructor in Arrest and Control, an Instructor for the California Specialized Training Institute, an Instructor for the Israeli Martial Arts National Training Institute, a certified Grapple Instructor for the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy, and is a Martial Arts Consulate to the Rio Hondo Community College. Additionally, Dino holds black belts in Tae Kwon Do and Tae Su Mu Do and a blue belt in Jiu Jitsu.
Jack Schonely
Jack Schonely is the developer of "Suspect Tactics and Perimeter Containment." Jack has been in law enforcement for over 22 years working a wide variety of field assignments. He is currently a member of the Los Angeles Police Department where he is a Pilot at Air Support Division. Before becoming a pilot he was a Tactical Flight Officer where he coordinated tactical situations on a nightly basis. Jack was a K-9 handler for 5 years with the L.A.P.D. and participated in over 700 high risk searches. Over 300 of these searches resulted in the capture of the suspect. He interviewed over 100 suspects after their apprehension regarding the tactics they used. Jack is a California P.O.S.T. certified instructor. He has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
Todd
Rheingold
Todd recently retired after 30 years on the Los Angeles Police Department; where he spent 15 years assigned to S.W.A.T. in the Metropolitan Division. Todd's experience on L.A.P.D. include S.W.A.T., L.A.P.D. Metropolitan Division, L.A.P.D. Academy Drill/Tactics Instructor, various division assignments as a patrol officer, and a Fullerton College Police Academy Instructor. Todd has specialized training from the California Specialized Training Institute, the Criminal Justice Course, officer safety and field tactics. His prior teaching experience includes L.A.P.D. S.W.A.T. Shooting Cadre instructor, Fullerton College Police Academy instructor, patrol procedures, searches and rapid deployment. Todd has an Associates of Arts Degree in Administration of Justice from the Los Angeles City College.
Mike
Diaz
Mike is currently a Sergeant with the Los Angeles Police Department assigned to Hollywood Division. Recently Mike served as the training coordinator for Operations-West Bureau. Mike's experience stems from assignments as a Senior Lead Officer, training division, self-defense/physical fitness instructor, driver training instructor and an L.A.P.D. subject matter expert in the field of less than lethal force. Mike earned the Police Medal for bravery under fire while assigned as a Senior Lead Officer. His military experience includes four years with the United States Air Force assigned to various Security Police Squadrons.
Ken
Lockwood
Ken is a Detective II for the Los Angeles Police Department where he is a Technician Supervisor in the Firearms and Explosive Section of the Scientific Investigation Division. Ken's police experiences include narcotics, patrol, Security Aide to the Chief of Police and explosives. Ken's training includes the F.B.I. Hazardous Devices School, AFT Post Blast Crime Scene School, F.B.I. Gunpowder and Primer Residues School, Special Entry Technician and many more. Ken is a subject matter expert in the field of explosives with many years of practical hands on training. He currently holds basic, intermediate and advanced P.O.S.T. certificates as well as having attended the Detective course and Basic Instructors course taught by the L.A.P.D.. Ken has an Associates of Arts Degree from Pasadena City College in Police Science.
Joe
Pau
Detective
Joe Pau served for
twenty-seven years with the Los Angeles Police Department. Twenty-two
of those years were on the bomb squad and he retired as the assistant commander
of the squad. Detective Pau has over 3000 hours of specialized training in
explosives recognition/handling, explosive entry, explosive detection K-9
handling and training, research and development of bomb tools and render safe
procedures. He is a guest lecturer and instructor on explosive related subjects

Feliciano
Sergeant Hector Feliciano has served over twenty years with the Los Angeles Police Department. He has worked a variety of patrol divisions, vice, narcotics, training and Metropolitan Division. Hector is an L.A.P.D. certified handgun instructor and a P.O.S.T. certified force options simulator instructor. Hector has trained Los Angeles Police Officers in judgmental pistol shooting, use of force, tactical shooting, officer safety/survival tactics, vehicle pull-overs, van pull-overs, bus pull-overs and building searches.
Mike
Willis
Mike Willis retired from the Whittier Police Department after serving for thirty years. Mike retired as a sergeant after doing tours in Patrol, Backgrounds, Internal Affairs and Crime Scene Investigations. The majority of his time was spent working in Narcotics where he worked both as an investigator and supervisor. He has also worked multi-jurisdictional robbery and burglary surveillance teams. Mike has been teaching crime scene investigations for over twenty-five years. He is currently an instructor at the Fullerton College Police Academy where he teaches a class on Officer Involved Shootings. Mike also teaches Crime Scene Photography for the Department of Justice.
Chuck
Higbee
Charles Higbee retired from the Los Angeles Police Department after thirty years of service. During the last eighteen years of his career, his primary function was that of investigating and directing the investigation of use of force incidents, in-custody deaths and critical injuries; estimated to be in excess of sixteen hundred investigations. Lieutenant Higbee has lectured nationally on the investigation of use of force incidents and currently consults with attorneys relative to the defense of municipalities and their personnel. Presently, he is in his fourteenth year as an instructor at the Fullerton College Police Academy. As an instructor, he lectures on several different aspects of investigations and use of force.
Steve
Rodig
Captain Steve Rodig served on the Anaheim Police Department for twenty-eight years before his retirement. His numerous assignments include Operations, Narcotics Investigator, Crime Task Force Investigator, detective in Robbery/Homicide, Vice, supervisor in Major Narcotics Detail, Training Bureau and as the Operations Division Captain. Steve has taught for the California Department of Corrections, Fullerton College, California Deputy District Attorney’s Association and the California Narcotics Association. Captain Rodig has provided over one thousand hours of training to Federal, State, County and local law enforcement in areas such as Use of Force, Officer Involved Shootings, Informant Development, Narcotic Investigations, Search Warrants and Criminal Investigations.
